So here are a few simple twists to up your hot chocolate game:
1. Peanut butter Hot Chocolate
Fancy a little nuttiness in your cup of hot chocolate? All it takes is four simple ingredients, simmer milk and cream combined, add in your chocolate and stir in your peanut butter to stirring often until the peanut has melted.
2. Mint Hot Chocolate
With a more traditional take on hot chocolate, this is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Just add to your chocolate mixture a dash of mint essence or for an easier twist melt a peppermint in your hot chocolate.
3.White Hot Chocolate
If you are a lover of white chocolate this is the recipe for you, and it couldn’t be more simpler, just swap out your plain chocolate for white. Heat up some white chocolate bars with milk in a pan.
4. Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate
Whisk milk, cream, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder together in a saucepan over medium heat until chocolate chips are melted and hot chocolate is smooth, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in pumpkinpuree and pumpkin pie spice until fully incorporated. Pour hot chocolate into 2 mugs.
